I found myself second guessing my answers and burned a lot of time this way. But what's not so obvious it can disrupt your "flow" not having it for lack of a better word. "show answer" is extremely helpful for learning topics you are weak on, but when taking the actual exam you obviously will not get this instant feedback. This will help remind you of command syntax particulars you might otherwise have to waste time thinking about for a minute or two. ![]() So it would be a good idea on your own to configure a device or two from factory fresh to a complete config somewhat close to taking the exam. For myself It had been quite a while since I had done labs on certain things, particularly basic configurations having gone through the curriculum in order. Give yourself a refresher from CBTs or your notes, or do a practice lab or two aside from the exams.įor the "verify the config" type simulations, the Boson 200-125 test covers a lot of ground but do keep in mind that instead of just verifying the configuration on the actual test, you might have to actually implement it. SNMP - Boson covers it, but IMO not well enough. There's probably not much you can do about this but just know it going in. You can see the tutorials for the exam on Cisco's site but it's not quite the same as actually using it. This is because Cisco's interface is really bad in comparison and quite disorienting. I did not think about doing this until it was too late. To prevent yourself from memorizing the test, save the last one and don't use the random test. The test has 5 full exams with a customize and random option. Save one of the practice exam for a final attempt. The Boson software was extremely helpful and highly recommended but there are some things that I would have liked to have known before using it. ![]() ![]() Having never bothered to get the cert, I primarily used the Boson Practice Exams in preparing for the 200-125 and passed.
